hello.
here i am once again at ion starbucks doing reports and designs (that are soon to pile up when the month of may comes.) i am almost here everyday, the baristas already know me by name. i was debating if i am being frivolous, spending so much money on caramel machiatos day after day... but then, $7 for some peace away from the family is a real good bargain :D

i am just about a month shy from youth camp and the eurotrip. i have to clear all the designs needed in june, july and august. so stressful… sigh on top of that i am trying to fight it out and get this new design project that is being offered. praying that i will get it. that way, i can keep up this whole starbucks lifestyle and pay for my bills (and eurotrip!) haha.

so that is work and ministry work in a nutshell. some interesting things that happened these few months, i went for a jamie cullum concert with weesiang about two weeks ago. i wasn't really a big fan of cullum but i must say that he is a great performer. he gave an intimate performance at his concert in esplanade. he kept jumping off pianos, making cat sounds and jogging to seats to sing (without the mic) he is a cool guy. he was in a fitted shirt, skinny jeans, curly locks... very topman. and he was singing about cocaine, grey skies and tall women... very london. haha i have been really infatuated by london in this recent month. it has been close to paranoia. my sense have been hyper sensitive to anything that has relations to the UK! flags, accents, topman clothes, music, words that say 'london' has been calling out to me. for a week, i was visited by london dreams almost every night. i was at the tube, the cafes, beaches… it was crazy. well, just a dream i guess. but i am going to london anyway la. so yay.

i have been trying to spend more time with tuck and nic recently. found out a week ago that tuck is enlisting soon. i guess in a twinkling, nic should be going in too. i must say that i am a little apprehensive about it. they have grown accustomed to their company. sometimes watching them rant and quarrel like children, is kinda therapeutic. hate to allow myself to type this because i feel it comes out cliche and cheapens the emotion but… i will miss those two idiots :/

last night i brought them to macritchie reservoir to eat our take-out mcdonalds. sitting on the ledge, i watched the water (in the background, the two of them ranting: tuck's fat denials and nic's usual complaints about work and money saving ideas) and thought to myself about my future… sigh not so sure how it is going to work out.

i turn 24 this year and i am starting to get worried about myself. i am enjoying my days in atcem but also wondering about the future career moves and financial ability to support the ones i love. dad is still doing his "i told you so" and proposing i work for him at the furniture store. goodness, 9am - 9pm selling chairs and bedroom sets. can you even imagine myself doing that?! shah maybe i will do it to make him happy, maybe not, maybe… i don't know. my mind is filled with too many uncertainties. a friend told me that it is a 20 year old phase. so scary… i am turning 25 soon. and 5 years later it is the 3-0. *smacks face* i have drafted a few plans in my head, prayed about it and kinda sorting myself out. i have recited a couple of jeremiah verses and bought a few clothes to calm myself down. maybe i need a holiday.

anyway, what is ahead of me now is eurotrip, work and exams. i guess i'll focus on that first and figure that out when i am equipped with another latte. i have finished this venti already.
